See: 12 Countries PMB Has Visited Since His Inauguration In May- With Photos

1. United States of America

Nigerian’s has come under some form of criticisms from a number of his supporters and other well meaning Nigerians who feel that the President Buhari has travelled way too much since he resumed the office of the Presidency.
 
Here are 10 countries the president has visited since his swearing-in with Photos:



On July 19, President Buhari visited the United States of America. Here’s an excerpt of a report on the President’s visit to the U.S,
 
Nigeria’s ambassador to the US, Professor Ade Adefuye gave a brief on Buhari’s four days stay in America.
He said America accepts Nigeria as an emerging economic giant not just in Africa but in the world, and that this is the first time the US has invited a newly elected African president who has been in office for less than two months to a state visit.


One of the most important parts of the visit is the long awaited lecture of the Nigerian president at the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) on his last day in America.

2. Germany


PMB in Germany without any ado to attend the G-7 meeting.

The President was accompanied by a 20-person delegation including Minister of Power Babatunde Fashola , Miniter of interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau , his personal photographer, Bayo Omoboriowo, and his cook named ‘Anne’.





3. India


President Buhari on the 27th of October, 2015 left Abuja for New Delhi, India, to take part in the 3rd Summit of the India-Africa Forum.

PMB joined other African leaders at summit. He also met with Nigerians living in India and had discussions with Indian businessmen.


4. Iran


The president arrived at the Mehrabad International Airport on Sunday, November 22 and was received by the Iranian deputy president, Shariat Madri.

He was in Tehran, Iran, to participate in the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) summit.


5. France


President Buhari also travelled to France. On the 14th of September he left for the French country on a three-day official visit following an invitation from his French counterpart Francois Hollande.

They both had a closed door meeting where they decided on military cooperation. Buhari also met with top management of biggest multinational companies to discuss their future investments in Nigeria.


6. Malta



President Buhari on the 28th of November, 2015 travelled out to join other world leaders at the CHOGM (Commonwealth Heads of State General Meeting).

President Buhari was photographed among other world leaders and was even spotted having a chat with Queen Elizabeth of England and it seemed like they had a good time conversation.

 7. South Africa



On June 15, President Buhari traveled to South Africa to attend the African Union (AU) summit in which he was the chairperson of the Peace & Security Council meeting. 

He commissioned the Nigeria Immigration center in the country and also met with some Nigerians living in the country.
 


 8. Ghana



On September 7, Buhari arrived Ghana where he was received by the Ghanaian President, John Mahama.
 During a press conference with President Mahama, Buhari vowed to appoint his cabinet before the end of September.
 



9. Cameroon


President Buhari on the 29th of July flew out to Cameroon.

He was welcomed by the Cameroonian President, Paul Biya when he arrived into the country.



 PMB has visited Niger and Chad for the same purpose and will also visit Benin Republic.


10. Chad


Buhari headed for Chad to hold talks with his Chadian counterpart, Idris Deby, as Nigeria and neighboring countries find lasting solutions to the lingering Boko Haram insurgency.




Both presidents vowed to enhance cooperation in the fight against Boko Haram insurgency.


11. Niger Republic

President Buhari flew out to Niger on the 3rd of June 2015. for the same reason with chad talk.of to end insurgency.


12. Benin Republic



On August 1, President Buhari paid a one-day visit to Benin Republic in continuation of the effort to curb Boko Haram insurgency.

He was conferred with a traditional title ‘Manahouwhe’ Gbede’, which means “I will never forget you”.
 He was also conferred with the national honor of Grand Croix du Benin (Grand Cross of Benin), which is the highest award in that country.
