Must Watch: '76, formerly titled Lions of '76, is an upcoming Nigerian

The story in the film is told from two points of view: That of a young pregnant woman, and that of her husband, a soldier accused of being involved in the 1976 military coup and assassination of General Murtala Mohammed.

Due to be released on Good Friday, 2016 - exactly 40 years after the foiled coup that led to the assassination of Murtala Mohammed. Based on real events, made in Nigeria by Nigerians for Nigeria and the rest of the world this movie is both an epic and a must watch.

The historical account in '76 went through a seven-month approval period at the Nigerian Military before filming started. The film which is set in the '70s was shot in Ibadan, Oyo. The film has been in production for about five years.

For the first time, a movie that looks at the women's angle in a crisis we all heard about but never really understood. Starring Rita Dominic and Ramsey Nouah in their best performances to date, it is another collaboration by the duo of Adonis Productions and Princewills Trust owned by Adonijah Owiriwa and Prince Tonye Princewill.
